The GodVenture Sticker Advent Calendar is the one where the stickers tell the story, giving busy families something to read and a sticker to add to the picture each day right through to Epiphany on January 6th. Jesus is ‘born’ on Christmas Day* and then is visited by the shepherds later in December and then the wise men in January – the traditional time for celebrating this is  Epiphany on January 6th.

It’s a really fun, easy way to enjoy reading the Christmas story together, and you get to choose how to do it in a way which works best for you and you family:

1. Daily: Read one short section of the story and stick one sticker each day (the story sections are really short – it should only take you a couple of minutes)
2. Weekly: Read a ‘scene’ at a time, two scenes each week, and stick those stickers on as you read the story. (There’s 10 ‘scenes’ and the story runs until January 6th, so one section every 4 days or so)
3. All in one go: Put the stickers on as you go – this will only take about half an hour, and is a really fun way to share the story together.

The calendar includes the stories of Zechariah and Elizabeth and the birth of John the Baptist as well as Anna and Simeon at the temple, plus the responses of both Mary and Zechariah to their visits by angels! It’s the complete Bible text divided into roughly equal-ish sections so you have a sensible amount to read each day if you’re using it that way.
