All about Generosity Faith at Home Mini-Mag

The Generosity edition of the Faith at Home mini-mag gives you 10 easy and fun activities to explore and respond to the story sometimes known as ‘the widow’s mite’. It’s a tiny story in the gospels where Jesus is in the temple with his followers, and people are giving money and Jesus comments on the widow’s tiny gift, saying that she gave ‘all that she had’.

In this mini-mag, you’ll find:

  • easy ways to help draw your children into the story including using coins (chocolate, play or real – your choice!)
  • ideas on questions to ask to get everyone chatting about the story
  • a fun way to explore the story further using toys
  • five ways to respond to the story together, including a simple prayer and a generosity challenge using the stickers and the colourful A3 Generosity Poster in the centre of the mini-mag

The mini-mag comes with:

  • a story postcard
  • Generous words cards to cut out and give away
  • a Take-a-compliment poster
  • stickers to use on the Generosity Poster in the centre of the mini-mag*

It’s designed for busy families like yours to use at home together with children aged 3-10 years, and there are things in there for older children and adults too. (Check out Something to Ponder.)

And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also extras online including:

  • audio and video versions of the story
  • songs about generosity
  • a full colour family devotional exploring generosity in another Bible story
