Be Thankful

When things are difficult, it’s good to focus on good things in our lives. This isn’t to ignore the serious situations we’re facing, but to remember that God is good, and that evil is not the only thing at work!

I find thinking of three things I’m thankful for each morning really helps re-calibrate my brain! Sounds dramatic, I know, but I’m not alone in finding this simple practise helpful. As a Christian, it also means I am focusing on the blessings of God in my life.

I’ve done this is various formats, sometimes drawing three things in a growing collage, sometimes drawing them in organised boxes across the page, often just writing them. This month I’m writing a numbered list, aiming at three things each day but finding I’m discovering far more.

This is also a simple activity for families to do together: simple get a piece of paper and draw or write three things each that you are thankful for.

If you’d like a template to help you do this, here’s a downloadable poster (pdf and jpg formats) with 31 different size and shape rectangles for you to draw or write something / three things you’re thankful for each day.

When you have gone through the checkout you’ll have immediate access  to three options – one in colour, one more subdued and one without any pictures – to download, print and use straight away. Get yours here
