If you’re looking for a simple but meaningful way to explore the Easter story either on your own or with your family or a group, this Journal is perfect for you!

The journal is A5 with 20 thick pages and a lovely luxury cover. Inside you’ll find eight episodes from the Easter story each with:

• The Easter story from the Mark’s gospel in the Bible, a short section from Mark (using the NIrV) with QR codes so you can listen to it or read a longer version if you choose
• A few carefully crafted open-ended questions to get you started in your thinking or chatting about the story, either on your own, with friends or family or in a group – you choose!
• LOTS OF SPACE to draw or write your response to the story, your thoughts, feelings, ideas and questions!
• QR codes with a curated selection of additional activities and resources such as songs, recipes and Passover info – all totally optional but giving you more if you want it.

How to use it

The Easter Week Sticker Calendar can be used in whatever way is most helpful to you, but I’d recommend:

• Read one section of the story each day from Palm Sunday up to Easter Sunday (this can take from 5-30 minutes each day depending on how long you think/chat/write for!)
• Read one or two sections a week during with the last two on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday (this also gives you more time to do additional activities in the QR codes)
• Read it every other day during the Easter Holidays – there’s eight episodes, so four a week
• Read it whenever suits you

The episodes

This journal takes the story from Mark’s gospel, and there are eight episodes matching those in the Holy Week Box:

1. Donkey – Jesus arrives in Jerusalem
2. Tables – Jesus turns over the tables in the temple
3. One coin – Jesus answers a tricky question about taxes
4. Two coins – Jesus notes the generosity of a widow
5. Meal – Jesus’ last meal with his friends
6. Cross – Jesus dies
7. Tomb – Jesus is buried
8. Empty – Jesus’ tomb is empty!
