Have you ever compared scars with someone?
Children in hospitals often do this to connect, using their bodies to share stories of pain and healing. As Christians, we believe Jesus’ scars from his death remain on his resurrected body.
To help children and young people in hospitals engage with this powerful mystery, we are creating a collection of images of children and young people comparing their scars with Jesus.
We invite you to create with us!
Simply create an image of Jesus comparing scars with a child or a young person.
We welcome contributions from any age group and we
are looking for a variety of images, including:
– Different art media and styles.
– Representations from diverse countries and subcultures.
– Various images of Jesus comparing different scars with those of others.
If your contribution is chosen for inclusion, we will be in touch for your original artwork; you’ll be listed as an artist and receive a free copy of the final resource. We look forward to seeing your artwork! For safeguarding reasons, please be mindful of how much bare skin your drawing shows.
Email a good quality photo of your picture or attach a digital design (maximum size 15 MB) with your name and age (under 16s only) to: [email protected]
Deadline is 30 April 2025.
