Easter gives us lots of opportunities to explore the Easter story of Jesus’ death and new life as we celebrate together. Not sure what to do?

1 Read the Easter story and add stickers as you reflect with this Easter Sticker Calendar.
If you love stickers, this is simple, easy and good fun!
2 Re-tell the story using Easter puppets.
Use ones you have, make your own, or get something like these ones which are simple to make and fun to use – also available as a download
3 Easter Story Treasure Hunt
Include eggs if you choose, and have fun inside or outside collecting the Easter Story Cards then putting in the right order to tell the Easter story. Or download this version with picture cards and clues!
4 Eat bread and remember Jesus.
This is a simple way to remember Jesus’ last meal with his friends when he broke bread and told them to remember him whenever they did so. More here
5 Mini-egg prayers are great fun.
They’re also quick, simple and easy to fit in a busy schedule. Just be careful doing this with very young children due to choking.
6 Colour an Easter picture while you listen to the story together.

7 Reflect on the Easter story
Read a short part of the story and think about what it means for you. The Easter Story Journal has short sections of story with ‘I wonder’ questions, QR links to more ideas and loads of space for you to draw or write as you reflect.
8 Make an Easter garden
Go for quick growing seeds, or no-grow like this one – both are perfect for telling the story together.
9 Explore Passover
This is a fabulous way for families familiar with the Easter story to delve deeper into the roots of the story and discover more of the significance of both Jesus’ last meal and his passion week. Start simple with the Seder Plate, or dive into to a more indepth exploration here.
10 Make a Holy Week Box
This is a simple way to explore a little bit of the Easter story each day using a small box, a peg doll and a few other simple items.
11 Build the story with Lego or Duplo

12 Draw a picture of Jesus and his scars
